Here it is! Evan's first giggles captured on video. He's been trying to get a little laugh going for about 10 days now. This is the first time, I really got him going. It took me until about 40 seconds into the video to get the right combination of movement, sounds, and facial gestures to get a full-on chuckle out of him. Prior to his laughing, you'll hear a lot of good "talking" out of him.
Here's a cute picture of Evan from yesterday.

Ryan Having a Laugh
This is a cute video of Ryan playing the piano with one of his trucks. We were trying to get him ready for bedtime, but he was too busy playing with his cars. Then, out of nowhere, he walked over to the piano and started to drive his truck on the keyboard. What a funny and creative little man. We love his little laugh in between each truck "scale". See if you can catch him saying "ready" and "one more time" and "funny big truck".

Evan and His Hedgehog
Evan is twisting his little body, like he's trying to be more mobile. He's also vocalizing so much. In this video he's just chatting it up with his hedgehog friend. Can you believe he's 11 weeks already?

Burst
Burke's parents gave us a wonderful new camera for Christmas. It has a feature called "burst," which takes photos in succession with hardly any lag time in between. I LOVE this feature! Here are a few pics of Evan doing his "Mr. Squishy Smile" using the burst feature. You can see how he goes from a little smile to a big cute squishy face.
2 Month Check Up
On February 11, we took Evan to his 2 month check up. (That was also our 3rd anniversary!) Evan weighed in at 15 lbs. 9 oz. and he's almost 24 inches tall. We have another big boy on our hands. Evan also had his first vaccines. We all hate that part! You can see the little band-aids on his chubby thighs.

February Snow
Big Brother
Ryan is showing more and more interest in Evan and awareness that he is part of our family.
He is such a word parrot at this point, that he will look at Evan and repeat things he's heard us say. For example, on his way to his high chair the other day, he stops and looks at Evan and says in a sweet voice, "Hi, little boy."
The cutest thing I've ever heard yet happened today as I was carrying Ryan to his room to take his nap. He looks at Evan and says, "Bye, big brother. Sweet dreams." Explanation: he calls Evan big brother because we have a book that talks about a new baby being introduced to the family. The words "big" and "brother" are always used together, so Ryan just calls Evan big brother.

Occasionally, Ryan asks to "hold it" which means he wants to hold Evan.
