Evan's 14th Birthday

Evan wanted to watch the U of M v. Ohio State football game with family for his birthday, followed by dinner at Papa Vino's. I love that he had this specific vision for how he wanted to celebrate. My brothers are reluctant and uncomfortable watching U of M sports, because they are super fans and it's torturous for them, but they were able to make it work in honor of Evan's birthday.

I don't care one way or the other about U of M, except that I want my family to be happy. That being said, watching with Christine is super fun. She brings passionate, positive fan energy. It's fun watching with a bigger group, in general. And, the ending was very exciting, and U of M won! The win was icing on the cake for Evan's birthday!

Speaking of icing, we had cake and ice cream at half time, and then went out to early dinner after the game. Here are some pics!

After patiently and respectfully waiting, he finally got his own phone.

He also wanted to celebrate with friends.
We took them bowling, and then to Buffalo Wild Wings.
His teen years are off to a great start!

At 14, Evan values his down time, and likes to relax, mainly by watching TV and playing video games. He can impressively express his thoughts and feelings when needed. He cares about his grades, violin, and sports. He operates with integrity, and is a caring helper. He's also pretty dang funny. We love out Big Little E. Happy birthday, Evan! 💙🎂
