Grace Church

What an enjoyable afternoon for all of us. I am so looking forward to spring.

He's pointing toward the clock when it started chiming. Although, he does look like he's striking a disco pose.

Let me in!

Enjoying a snack on the church steps.

Not to be forgotten...Evan also enjoyed this early spring outing with us. He relaxed in his stroller the whole time, peaceful as can be.

Funny Big Clock

Today we walked down to the church to play. It has an open space, some steps Ryan can climb on, and his favorite - the "big clock." He loved hearing the clock chime up close and personal. We were there for almost an hour, so he got to hear it a few times.

Slide Fun

Still in Brooklyn...Ryan has never enjoyed a playground this much. He was very brave and did a lot of work on the slide all by himself. He just loves anything that involves climbing.

Ryan & Max

We tried to get Ryan and Max to cooperate for a quick picture. First they were looking all around the playground - anywhere except for at the camera (top). Who can blame them? Then Ryan started fussing wanting to get down (middle). Nathan had to reposition Max a few times. Finally we got them to focus on each other when we asked them to shake hands (bottom).

Trip to Brooklyn

We all went down to Brooklyn last weekend to visit Sarah, Nathan and Max. This was Evan's first trip to Brooklyn. Both boys traveled like angels, which Burke and I appreciated.

Here's a picture of Ryan, Evan and Max at Sarah & Nate's apartment. Notice Evan practicing his rolling over skills. Max is chowing on a bagel.

Then we walked to a playground since it was a beautiful day. Here's a cute shot of Burke and Ryan walking the streets of Brooklyn.

Evan Rolled Over Today

He rolled over 3 times in a row. So I know it's not a fluke.

He slept more than usual this morning. Maybe he was gearing up to start doing some new moves. Once I had him up, he seemed extra wiggly. I put him on the quilt and he just started rolling over. I'm glad I got to see it first, because Burke saw Ryan roll over first.

After he did it once, I ran to get Burke. We flipped him back onto his back to see if he'd show Daddy. He did. Then we flipped him one more time to see if he'd do it for the video. As you can see, it takes him a while. The first 2 rolls weren't quite so labored. By the third time, I'm sure he was tuckered out.
